When my father, the proud owner of Ralphie, his adored Westie, could not find any pet bandanas that were unique, stylish and had a little "spark" that reflected Ralphie's personality and character, he suggested we find an alternative to tie, clips, collar and Velcro® bandanas that all looked the same.
Ralphie had a problem with tie bandanas, getting caught on a branch one day and unable to break free, we were looking for a safer option. Velcro® closures were always coming undone or getting caught in his fur. Clips were too hard to get on and off with all his squirming. The collar styles were too much work to take the collar off and then slip the bandana on and put the collar back. There had to be a better bandana.
Finally we just tried out snaps. And the rest is history. Almost!!
Everywhere Ralphie went, people commented on the bandana or asked where to get one. Pet lovers were looking for fresh, new, safe and uncomplicated pet fashion at an affordable price. Many pet owners do not like or want to dress up their pet, especially big dogs. Many pet lovers want something easy (like a bandana) to show off their pet's personality and character - without all the fuss. We learned that pet lovers did not want tie, clip, collar or Velcro closures for the same reasons we didn't.
